Why Billy's Treats
With goals to become a one-stop-shop for you and your pup, Billy's Treats was founded in 2018.
When it came to meeting Billy, our German Shepherd/Border Collie, it was love at first sight. However, our first year with her were filled with way too many visits to the vet concerned for Billy's poor stool, dry skin, and other common issues.
We learned that many affordable treat products use wheat, syrups, preservatives and additives, all ingredients that contribute to obesity, illness and disease, and are also common allergens for dogs.
After researching and consulting vets, we found ourselves having to customize her diet with more homemade options. We began testing ingredients (like oats, pumpkin, yogurt, and flax seed) that are not only healthier, but also help to combat itchy skin, bad breath, and poor stool and turned them into nutritional treats that dogs love.
Founders
Who We Are
We're Johnny and Hanna (and Billy). When we first met, Johnny's only criteria for a lasting relationship was raising a dog. Hanna promised one after marriage—6 years later and 1 week after our wedding, Billy officially made us a family.
We make every single product we sell. From baking treats, to hammering out biothane, we're excited to be sharing our work with you, proudly made at home in Toronto, Canada.
